This is mainly aimed at xsnoise but..... Is there any chance that the old reg wasnt working because of the burnt plug? If we put the new plugs on the old reg, then test it? Was just a thought, might save me forking out for another one.
To bring others up to speed- the regulator/rectifier on my street fighter shit itself causing it not to charge the battery any more. I purchased an aftermarket one that blew up within 2kms and nearly set the bike on fire. Mad .

Matt, it's a possibility. Still want to give the stators a measure though - there's a reason behind the reg/recs going

Ok, Ive re-wired the original rectifier with new plugs. When the bike is turned off, i get 12v at the battery. When the bike is running i get 14v. Does that mean the battery is charging now? Gee i hope so, sick of this problem.
Now to test properly, wheeeeelies!! Wheelie bar fitted and ready to rock.

^ Yeah, only had to change 2. Took it out for some abuse and no smoke and seems to be charging. Will use it this week to get to work and see how it goes. (gee it was good to get back on it today Laughing just too hot)

Gonna wait til the parts for front end get here. Being a fighter you have to keep wiring to the headstem to a minimum so the tank cover will be the best bet i reckon. Will talk to him tonight.
